The Bahraini regime forces clashed on October 13, 2016) with protesters attempting to reach the Pearl (LuaLua) Roundabout, cradle of popular protests witnessed in Bahrain five years ago with the rise of the Arab Spring.

The forces fired grenades against protesters who came close to the area which has been heavily guarded by Army and National Guard forces ever since the protesters were initially repelled with the aid of Saudi forces in March 2011.

The Roundabout, which has been demolished by Bahraini authorities, hosted hundreds of thousands of people demanding to put an end of Al Khalifa monopoly over power.
