Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab and African Affairs Hossein Amir Abdollahian cautioned of enemies' plots and attempts to endanger Iran's security by involving the country in regional tumults.

"The enemies are after fomenting insecurity in Iran due to the country's power," Amir Abdollahian said in a meeting with Ayatollah Mohammad Yazdi, the Chairman of Iran's Assembly of Experts, in Tehran on Monday.

He also referred to the arrogant powers' support for the ISIL, and said since the Syrian nation moves in coordination with the Lebanese Hezbollah and the Islamic Republic of Iran, the arrogant powers are making attempts to thwart the Syrian government and suppress the Islamic Awakening in the region with the help of the ISIL.

Noting that the US tries to implement its projects in the region using the experiences it gained during the wars against Iraq and Afghanistan, Amir Abdollahian said, "Actually, they aim to push Iran into their games."

Meantime, other Iranian officials have many times underlined security along the country’s borders, and said that the Takfiri terrorists cannot pose a threat to Iran.

“ISIL cannot threaten our country and I state this fact in view of the information and news that exists,” Iranian Deputy Interior Minister Hossein Zolfaqari told reporters late May when asked whether the ISIL is near the Iranian borders.

He underlined that Iran’s security is presently in favorable conditions.

Zolfaqari said that existence of the terrorist groups depends on four issues; having the motive, financial support, political support and the presence of popular grounds, and stressed that ISIL has no social root or popularity among the Iranians.

Also last month, Iranian Defense Minister Brigadier General Hossein Dehqan downplayed the possibility of ISIL's threat to Iran, but said Tehran would give a crushing response to any kind of threat posed to the country.

"The ISIL terrorist grouplet doesn’t have the power and capability to threaten the Iranian borders and we don’t assume this grouplet to be a threat to us because presence (and growth) of ISIL is never tolerated by the Iranian society," Dehqan said in Qeshm Island in the Persian Gulf.

"Yet, the Iranian security, military and law enforcement forces are definitely so powerful that they can foil any move by this grouplet before it starts," he added.

In relevant remarks in March, Ground Force Commander Brigadier General Ahmad Reza Pourdastan said that the ISIL terrorists would never dare to approach and pose a threat to the Iranian borders.

"Today the Islamic Republic of Iran's Army is fully prepared and monitors ISIL's moves; no doubt, ISIL does not have the capability to take action against the sacred land of the Islamic Republic of Iran," Pourdastan told FNA.

"Today the enemies of the Islamic Republic of Iran have come to realize that our country enjoys extraordinary military capabilities, and this power has deterred the enemies," he stressed.

Also in January, Commander of the Iranian Border Guards troops Brigadier General Qassem Rezayee said The ISIL Takfiri terrorists are keeping a wide distance from Iran's borders.

"The ISIL has kept a wide distance from the Iranian borders as the Iraqi army is forcefully pushing back the ISIL from regions under their control," Brigadier General Rezayee told reporters in the city of Zahedan, Southeastern Iran.

He underlined that full security has been preserved along the country's borders in the West, while border entanglements and control have grown tighter than before in Eastern and Southeastern Iran.
