'The nuclear agreement is win-win in nature. Regardless of the weak or strong points of the JCPOA. The US has announced that sanctions have been lifted on paper, but, the psychology of sanctions is still in place with the US administration. The US Administration need to take initiatives to overcome the psychology of sanctions in Washington.'

He said he held talks with the EU Foreign Policy Chief Federica Mogherini and he will raise the matter with the US Secretary of State Johh Kerry on Wednesday.

'The US State Department undertook as per the Brussels statement on November 14, 2014 that it is committed to lifting the sanctions. So that the Iranian people must see how the JCPOA implementation in being done.'

Underlining that Iran rejects extremism on part of any person or group, Zarif said, 'Military action is dangerous and it will entail grave and devastating consequences. That will not be restricted to a single region. It requires collective action.'

He said that the United Nations General Assembly designated the year 2013 as the year of World Against Violence and Extremism (WAVE) upon a proposal from President Hassan Rouhani.

Zarif said Iran opposes military action which takes tolls on innocent civilians.
