Killing Iran experts act of desperationA senior Iranian cleric says the assassination of scientists and young elite by the CIA and Mossad shows the desperation of arrogant powers because of Iran's progress and that they have reached a dead end.
“Those who claim to fight terrorism are themselves the leaders of terrorists and foster terrorists,” said Tehran's interim Friday Prayers Leader Ayatollah

According to reports, Ahmadi Roshan had recently met with IAEA inspectors, a fact which indicates the UN nuclear agency may have leaked information about Iran's nuclear facilities and scientists.

He added that the enemies have been brought to their knees in a manner that they have no choice but to resort to assassination and acts of terror.
“This is while they claimed they occupied Iraq and Afghanistan to fight terrorism,” Ayatollah Jannati added.
The senior cleric stressed that the perpetrators of the assassination of scientists Mostafa Ahmadi Roshan must be brought to justice.

“This assassination was planned and carried out with the help of the CIA and Mossad and shows that the global arrogance, led by the US and Zionist [current], has reached a dead end when it comes to the pious, determined and progressive Iranian nation,” he added.

Ayatollah Jannati emphasized that the assassination of Iranian scientists will not have the enemy's desired results as more young scientists will follow in the footsteps of Ahmadi Roshan.

On January 11, an unknown motorcyclist attached a magnetic bomb to the car of Iranian nuclear scientist Ahmadi Roshan near Allameh Tabatabaei University in Tehran. He was immediately killed and his driver, who sustained injuries, died a few hours later in a hospital.

Ahmadi Roshan is not the first Iranian nuclear scientist to become the victim of a terrorist attack.

On November 29, 2010, Professor Majid Shahriari and Dr. Fereydoun Abbasi were targeted by terrorist attacks; Shahriari was killed immediately and Dr. Abbasi, the current head of Iran's Atomic Energy Organization, only sustained injuries.

Iran says as the UN Resolution 1747, adopted against Tehran in March 2007, cited Abbasi's name as a "nuclear scientist," enabling the perpetrators to trace their victim.

According to reports, Ahmadi Roshan had recently met with IAEA inspectors, a fact which indicates the UN nuclear agency may have leaked information about Iran's nuclear facilities and scientists.
