At least 61 ISIL Takfiri terrorists have been killed in separate operations by the Iraqi air force in the violence-plagued western province of Anbar and the northern province of Kirkuk.

The commander of al-Jazzera and al-Badiya operations, Nasser Al-Ghannam, said at least 26 ISIL Takfiris were killed when Iraqi aircraft carried out strikes against the terrorists in Haditha city and destroyed their cars, Iraq's Arabic-language al-Forat news agency reported.

Meanwhile, Iraq’s Defense Ministry said the Iraqi fighters dropped bombs on the ISIL terrorists’ hideout in Taza city in Kirkuk, killing 35 militants.

The terrorists were hidden in a police headquarters.

The northern and western parts of Iraq have been witnessing acts of terrorism and violence by ISIL since June 2014. The Iraqi army, joined by volunteer fighters, has been battling the ISIL terrorist group to flush the terrorists out of the areas they have under their control.
