Iraqi army forces has dismantled an ISIS cell in the region of "al-Yusufiyah", southern Baghdad, avoiding a major terror attack planned to target big Shia gathering in Arbaeen of Imam Hussein (AS).

In this operation three explosive belts, 30 bombs, RPG and a number of grenades were found.

Every year millions of Shia Muslims from across the globe walk toward Karbala in Iraq to commemorate the fortieth day of Imam Hussein martyrdom anniversary, third Shia Imam.

Last year this gathering was named as a big religious gathering ever happened in the history with almost 20 million of Shia Muslims.

Every year Iraqi security forces must apply strict security measures before the event to be sure of organizing safe Arbaeen.
