Ammar Hakim slams world silence against ISIL chemical attack on Iraq

Top Iraqi cleric demanded foreign media in Iraq to project Daesh crimes in the country rather than magnifying minor issues and allegations of human rights violation.

Seyyed Ammar al Hakim, leader of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, demanded for international spread of the recent ISIL chemical attack in Kirkuk calling that a threat for world peace, news reported.

The cleric, attending a convention of Iraqi young genius in the capital Baghdad, stressed confrontation with Daesh as a threat for the whole world, demanded international organizations to help the victims and criticized world silence over the massacre by Daesh saying,” This is while world media are magnifying other issues calling them as violation of human rights and massacre for the world people.”
Last Tuesday, the city of Taze near Kirkuk, was targeted by Daesh chemical bombs killing at least 300 Iraqi civilians.

Iraqi premier, Haidar al-Abadi, announced arrival of rescue squads in Kirkuk vowing for punishment of those behind the crime stressing that Daesh will heavily pay for the crime.

Former Prime Minister of Iraq and the secretary-general of the Islamic Dawa Party, Nouri al-Maliki regarded Daesh's action as a war crime and requested Iraqi government to employ necessary measures to stop these attacks.
