Iraqi forces are going ahead with their military operation in Falluja, with the military and the allied forces are tightening grip on ISIL Takfiri forces in the northern front of the city.

The operation, carried out by the army, police counterterrorism units, local tribal fighters and Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF), continues for the fourth day on all fronts around the city.

Iraqi military sources said that the allied forces captured al-Karma town on Friday, adding that ISIL's black flag was removed from the town's buildings and that the Iraqi flag was raised instead.

Fierce clashes took place between the allied forces and the Takfiri insurgents, the sources said, adding that the recapture of the Karma, 16 km away from Falluja, is an achievement because of the strategic position of the town.

"As they entered the town, PMF removed ISIL flags and raised the Iraqi flags on the buildings instead.
