ISIS terrorist group has beheaded 13 civilians who helped Iraqi families escape the Hawija area in Kirkuk province.

"The execution was carried out after ISIS courts passed out a verdict, charging them of facilitating the escape of several families from Hawija to Salahuddin province and other areas in Kirkuk” a security official in Kirkuk told the IraqiNews site on Thursday.

The sourced who asked to remain anonymous added “After being defeated overwhelmingly at different areas of the province, ISIS now lives under the shadow of a constant fear”.

Dozens of families escaping ISIS in Hawija made it to Peshmerga bases on Friday night, as the whereabouts of 50 other families making the same journey remained unknown.

Civilians in ISIS controlled areas rushed to escape after multiple defeats tolerated by the terrorist group throughout Iraq and Syria.
