Iraq_BlastNine Shia Muslims taking part in a religious pilgrimage of Imam Moussa al-Kahim (AS) martyred and dozens were wounded in insurgent mortar attacks and roadside bomb explosions by the Nasabi's terrorists of Al-Qaeeda across Baghdad on Tuesday.

According to the Shiite News Correspondent, Iraqi Police said that explosives and
mortar attacks have claimed the lives of nine Shia pilgrims, inflicting injuries over 50 others across the country's capital.

The attacks took place in at least six locations around the capital as devout Shiites converged on a holy Shrine of Imam Moussa al-Kadhim (AS) in the Kazimiyah neighbourhood to commemorate the martyrdom anniversary of Seventh Shia Imam Moussa al-Kadhim (AS), son of holy Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) on July 7.

Hundreds of thousands of Shia pilgrims from around Iraq have turned out in Baghdad for ceremonies marking the eighth-century martyrdom  of Imam Moussa al-Kadhim (AS). Pilgrims traditionally walk to the twin-domed shrine of Imam Moussa al-Kadhim (AS) in Kazimiyah, where the revered apostle is buried.
