Riyadh failed in Iraq

This diplomat added: “Saudi Arabia’s interference in Iraqi policy is similar to a one-winged bird trying to fly. This is why it was unsuccessful. According to this report, the Saudi Arabia General Intelligence Directorate was worried about the unification of Iraqi politicians and the establishment of a unified national government.

A high ranking Iraqi security official announced that Al-Qaeda has been trying to assassinate Iraqi politicians by sending bombs through the mail. This official, who did not want his name revealed, said: “A group which specializes in fighting such attacks is investigating this matter and are finding the main culprits.”
