Ammar Hakim says Mandela Will Remain a Lasting Voice against the racism and despotism

nalsoon hakeemThe Head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, Sayyid Ammar Al Hakim, expressed his grief and sorrow for the death of the African leader and former President of South Africa 'Nelson Mandela'. His Eminence described the late Mandela as one of the great world symbols with his struggle against racism and his call for equality and tolerance

among humans, stressing that Mandela’s voice against segregation and despotism and his love for peace will remain a flame lightening the path of defenders of their peoples' rights and fair causes.

Below is the text of the statement:

In the name of Allah the Most Clement the Most Merciful
We share the grief and sorrow of the peoples of the world for the death of the African leader and former South African President 'Nelson Mandela', who spent a long part of his life defending his people’s right to a free and decent life.
Mandela was one of the great world symbols in our modern era with his struggle against racism and discrimination and his call for equality and tolerance among humans. As we extend our condolences to the people of South Africa in particular and to the world in general, we are certain that his voice against segregation and despotism and his love for peace will remain a flame enlightening the path of defenders of peoples' rights and fair causes.
