No war between Sunnis and Shiites in Iraq, Premier Maliki

iraqi p.ministerNouri al-Maliki stated that the events in Iraq are not a war between the Sunnis and Shiites, but between terrorism and the components of the Iraqi society.

In his opening speech of the first international anti-terrorism conference, held here, he

called for “international coordination and exchange of information”.

He called that the countries supporting terrorism with their Fatwas to “rectify their educational programmes that disseminate terrorism and violence”.

Maliki called the world countries to impose sanction against the countries that support terrorism, warning that they will be the next victims as well as an accomplice in the crimes committed against the people.

He elaborated that Iraq is fighting terrorism on behalf of the world, with expectations that terrorism will expand outside the limits of the Middle East.
