Deputy secretary general of the Lebanese Hezbollah resistance movement praised Iran as an influential country without which the whole region would have plunged into the abyss of disintegration.

“Frankly speaking, without Iran, the whole region would have disintegrated, have been ripped apart and have lost much of its position and possibilities,” Sheikh Naim Qassem, According to Tasnim News report.
“The world is well aware that Iran has shaped an effective regional axis called the axis of resistance and has been able to keep the hope and confidence of the regional nations alive for the possibility of materialization of the region’s integrity and independence,” he added.
The senior Lebanese official also congratulated Iran on the anniversary of victory of the Islamic Revolution.
Iranian officials have on many occasions voiced the country’s determination to contribute to the regional security and help the other nations fight against terrorism.
In October 2014, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani pledged that the Islamic Republic will continue its support for the regional countries in their fight against terrorism.
“Fortunately, Iran is the region’s stable country and has always provided support for the regional countries, especially Iraq, Syria, Lebanon and Afghanistan, and God willing, we will continue to support them in a bid to make the region stable,” the president said at the time.
“All countries have said that Iran should play its role in fighting against terrorism and there is no doubt about this,” he announced.
