Hujjat-ul-Islam Seyyed Ali Fadhl Allah, attended the opening ceremony of international conference on the role of moderation in confrontation with terrorism held in the Jordanian capital of Amman demanding Arab and Islamic countries to maintain a clear common strategy to move against terrorism.

He said," We cannot confront terrorism, which is threatening our values, history and civilization with the help of a shaky society."

Seyyed Ali Fadhl Allah called all Muslims to attain the fact that extremism and oppression in one country will lead to tension and crackdown in other countries and if we intend to be serious in our movement against terrorism, then we have to struggle for formation of a just government and bringing peace to the people.

He added," We are in need of returning moderation to Islam and this is possible through creating bridges of dialogue and communication with other countries."

Seyyed Ali Fadhl Allah noted," It is impossible to confront terrorism unless with serious struggle by the scholars and elites." Adding," this issue will not be solves unless with uprooting extremism from the minds and a review over Islamic texts which are against moderation."

He rejected security measures as the sole way to confront terrorism and said," This will boost terrorism because it enables the terrorists to misrepresent themselves as an oppressed group."

Lebanese cleric stressed," Arab and Muslim countries have to follow a common and clear strategy against terrorism and do not hesitate in their ideology."
