Lebanese Hezbollah Resistance Movement’s second-in-command, Sheikh Naim Qassem, described armed resistance as the only way to bring about the downfall of the Zionist regime of Israel.
Speaking to the Tasnim News Agency, Sheikh Qassem highlighted recent remarks of Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei on the Palestinian Intifada (uprising) and said the Leader guided Palestinians in the right direction when he advised them to use weapons to achieve victory.
Israel’s collapse will not come through demonstrations, statements, meetings, and conferences, the Hezbollah official stressed, adding that the Israeli regime’s downfall will only be achieved by weapons.
Sheikh Qassem went on to say that the anti-Israeli resistance should remain armed and that if Palestinians do not use weapons in their Intifada, it will get nowhere.
Sheikh Qassem has travelled to Iran to attend an international conference on Palestinian Intifada underway in Tehran with around 700 foreign officials and intellectuals, including 18 parliament speakers, in attendance.
