hassan_nasrallahHezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah called on Friday to execute the death sentences against the spies without delay, praising in this context the stance of President Michel Sleiman who expressed readiness to sign any death sentence verdict, noting that spies were direct contributors in all crimes committed during the war.

While warning that the Israeli enemy was

Sayyed Nasrallah divided his speech into many parts. "Politically, I will give priority to the issue of spies and Telecoms agents as well as the international tribunal," his eminence announced, declaring that he would have the opportunity to address Lebanese in different occasions during the upcoming stage.

"You, the Wounded, were wounded in battle, you are still maintaining this mission, and all the injuries and hardships that come with them have not diminished your moral. You went into battle without fear," his eminence said, addressing the Wounded. "You are loyal to this duty and responsibility despite your injury."

"Perseverance, resistance, hard work is required to continue in path despite hardships," Sayyed Nasrallah said. "You will find no holier or nobler battle on Earth than combating the Zionist enemy," his eminence said, while referring to Karabala battle to give example on resistance and battle with the enemy.

"You didn't wage battle for a leader or a party or a sect, but for your nation," Sayyed Nasrallah went on to say addressing the Wounded. He thanked them for their loyalty, perseverance, resistance and tolerance.

Turning to politics, Hezbollah Secretary General said that one of the most important challenges for Lebanon and the Resistance is the espionage issue, adding that this cause deserves more concern and care.

Sayyed Nasrallah said that the agents and spies were contributors in all crimes of July war. "The agents and spies working for the Israeli enemy played a major role before the war because they provided the enemy with a list of targets," his eminence said.

While noting that there were different tools to collect data referring to high-technology, his eminence said that the human factor remained very essential in the war because some data cannot be technically covered. "No matter how advanced data collection techniques become, there can be no substitute for the human element."

Hezbollah Secretary General pointed out that the spies who have been arrested provided information that helped in the attacks against several locations and individuals and they are therefore partners in the killing of innocents. "There are some individuals who presented direct services to the enemy that enabled them to attack locations that were not part of their list of targets," his eminence added. "Following the war, the spies had to refill the target bank of the Israeli enemy after it became empty."

Sayyed Nasrallah also noted that the spies played a role of seeking sedition following the war, especially in the South between AMAL and Hezbollah. "The spies were required to cause sedition in any place in the country," his eminence said, adding that the main target of all the agents' actions was the Resistance. "Several agents admitted that they were required to create disputes that would lead to strife, especially between Shiites and Sunnis."

According to Sayyed Nasrallah, the Israelis are standing by helpless before the Resistance's strength and readiness and they are waiting for the STL to create uproar in Lebanon so they may live in a tense atmosphere that would lift the pressure off of them. "The Israeli knows that any internal tension is a service for him regardless of any responsibility and he's nowadays betting on another Israeli scheme called the international tribunal to incite tensions in Lebanon."

Hezbollah Secretary General then noted that the issue of the agents has existed for a long time but it has taken great prominence during the previous years when their numbers has illogically increased. "This has many causes. The first factor is that the spies had a sense of security and they felt that no one follows them, given that some of them remained working for the enemy for 15 years without being discovered. The second factor is the judicial leniency that has made agents make light of the verdicts. The third factor is the supporting environment, and this is a very dangerous factor that must be quickly eliminated."

After thanking the security forces and the army intelligence for their efforts in uncovering agents, Sayyed Nasrallah reiterated that the death penalty should be issued against all those proven to have collaborated with the Israeli enemy.

Sayyed Nasrallah called on the execution of the death sentences against the spies without further delay or apologies, commending in this context President Michel Sleiman's position in which he affirmed that he would sign any death sentence against agents.

His eminence, meanwhile, urged everyone to keep the issue of spies' arrest and trial away from sectarian balances. "The sectarian balance in finding agents is unacceptable as we cannot search for a Shiite agent, and if we find one, then we should go on and search for a Maronite one or a Sunni and so on," Sayyed Nasrallah said. "All agents should be arrested regardless of their sect. The agent remains an agent whatever his sect was. All of them should be held accountable, even if 90% of them were Shiites."

Hezbollah Secretary General then raised the issue of the Telecoms network following the discovery of Alfa spies. "It has become clear without a shadow of a doubt that Israel completely controls all telecommunication networks in Lebanon," Sayyed Nasrallah said, warning that the country is exposed to the enemy. "The control over the telecommunication networks has been happening for a long time and those who were preparing for the war in Israel knew that they controlled the telecommunications."

"When the Israelis waged the war in 2006, they believed that everything related to the Telecoms was under their control. Israel did not attack the mobile phone operating companies because it controls them and it was shocked at the strength of Hezbollah's leadership correlation."

Sayyed Nasrallah said that the mistake committed by the Israeli enemy during the July war was that it undermined Hezbollah's telecoms network. "The greatest strength during the war was Hezbollah's military telecommunications network," his eminence went on to say.

According to Sayyed Nasrallah, the May 5 decision was neither innocent nor technical since the Resistance's network doesn't threaten the internal security as they claimed. His eminence called on the government to launch an investigation over what happened and find that the mastermind behind this action is in Israel.

While noting that the state should uncover the big spies just like it has already uncovered small ones, Sayyed Nasrallah demanded that the political leaders discover who fooled them into taking their May 5 decision. "We fear that those who led Lebanon to the brink of civil war on May 5 may be safe and that they may once again lead Lebanon to new dangers," his eminence pointed out.

The exceptional importance given to the discovery of the Alfa Spy Charbel Qazzi is justified according to Sayyed Nasrallah. "Qazzi is linked to the telecommunications and therefore, to the STL and some say that the indictment will be against some Hezbollah members," his eminence noted.

"Some Lebanese and regional forces previously bargained on international sedition. They bargained on July war but failed. Then they bargained on civil war. Today, they are bargaining on a new war caused by the indictment and I will respond to them on the anniversary of the victory in the July 2006 war."

Sayyed Nasrallah said that the Telecoms network was believed to be the infrastructure of the new verdict. "That's why the Telecoms sector is sacred for those betting on the international tribunal. It was a red line and the crime committed by the Lebanese Army was that it discovered a spy in the Telecoms network what put an end to the big plot."

Hezbollah Secretary General concluded his speech by raising a "huge question," calling on Prime Minister Saad Hariri and Interior Minister Ziad Baroud to find its answer: Did the Information Branch have data about spy Charbel Qazzi before being arrested by the Intelligence Directorate?

"I don't want answers because I already have them," Hezbollah Secretary General said.
