Shadi al Mawlawi Lebanon Local Editor The Government Commissioner to the Military Court, Judge Saqr Saqr indicted 10 people, including extremist Shadi al-Mawlawi. Prosecution was on grounds of being affiliated to

"> an armed organization and al-Nusra Front for terrorist purposes and transferring arms and bombs between Syria and Lebanon. Moreover, al-Mawlawi mocked Judge Saqr's indictment, describing the charges as "void," highlighting that he will not appear in court since he "does not trust it." Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati, responding to a question regarding Judge Saqr prosecuting a terrorist network that transfers arms from Lebanon to Syria, including al-Mawlawi, he stated, "He [al-Mawlawi] was released based on a decision from the Military court. When a decision is issued from the military court, we adopt it. The judiciary must play its role, and we support it." Al-Mawlawi had been apprehended last year on the same charges, but was soon released after the security situation in Tripoli went down the hill. Another detainee, later identified as Amine Khaled, admitted during interrogations that the group coordinates with Fatah al-Islam leader Osama al-Shahabi. Al-Shahabi is currently present at the Ain el-Hilweh Palestinian refugee camp near the southern city of Sidon.
