The Syrian army has recaptured three villages located near a main supply route for the ISIL Takfiri terrorists north of the flashpoint city of Aleppo.

The strategically-located villages of al-Mudafah, Handarat and Sifat were under ISIL’s control for over a year.

The army accomplished the recapture of the villages on Friday, the Syrian state television reported.

Syrian forces also seized four intersections west of Sifat, which were used by the terrorists to transport supplies from neighboring Turkey.

The Syrian army operation for the liberation of the three villages left several militants killed and dozens of their vehicles destroyed.

The capture of the three villages means that government forces have nearly circled militants in the northwestern city of Aleppo.

The ISIL Takfiri terrorists have committed barbarous acts in the areas they have taken over in Syria and Iraq.

Meanwhile, Syrian Kurdish forces and the ISIL militants continue battles over the border town of Kobani in Aleppo Province.

There are fears that the Takfiri terrorists will likely engage in brutal massacres in case the Kurdish town falls under their control.

On September 23, the United States and its Arab allies started carrying out airstrikes against ISIL positions in Syria without the consent of the Syrian government.

Kobani Governing Council says the widely-publicized US-led airstrikes have been ineffective.
