The Syrian army started fresh military operations in Aleppo city in a bid to complete its siege of the city which is now under the control of the Takfiri terrorists.

The army units made major advances in Aleppo countryside and killed at least 26 militants at the start of their operations.

The so-called Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said the killed rebels were from an array of jihadist groups, mainly the Al-Qaeda-linked Nusra Front.

Also, a Chinese state-run newspaper reported that about 300 Chinese people are fighting alongside the ISIL terrorist group in Iraq and Syria.

Chinese members of the East Turkestan Islamic Movement (ETIM) are traveling to Syria via Turkey to join the ISIL, the Global Times, run by China's ruling Communist Party's official newspaper, the People's Daily, said.

"According to information from various sources, including security officers from Iraq's Kurdish region, Syria and Lebanon, around 300 Chinese extremists are fighting with IS(IL) in Iraq and Syria," the Global Times reported.

Elsewhere, the militants suffered major losses across the province of Idlib, as the Syrian Army made advances in its fight against the insurgents in Kafar Owaid, Qastoun, Kfar Roma, Jabal al-Akrad, al-Marana, Job al-Ahmar, and Ma’arat al-Numan.

The army units have made considerable advances in several districts of Jobar in Damascus countryside in the past two days.

The Syrian army is planning to complete its siege of Jobar in a bid to pave the way for winning control over the town in the coming days.

Meantime, a Syrian military source told FNA that the Syrian army now sees the seizure of Jobar as its top priority.
