Syrian Army Repelled Terrorist Attacks in Deir Ezzur Airport, 50 Terrorists Killed

The Syrian Army troops have repelled ISIS terrorist group offensives near the strategic airbase of Deir Ezzur, Dozens of terrorists have been killed including 14 non-Syrian nationals.

Seven Saudis, three Iraqis, two Egyptians and two Tunisians were among the killed members of the ISIL terrorist group, whose attack on the government forces' positions near the airbase was thwarted.

In relevant developments near the Deir Ezzur airbase in the Eastern part of the country on Friday, the Syrian army troops repelled the ISIL terrorists' attacks near the strategic airbase of Deir Ezzur and killed at least 50 terrorists.

The ISIL carried out several attacks on the Syrian army's positions at the military airport and Jabal Thardeh in Deir Ezzur province that were thwarted by the Syrian soldiers and forced the terrorist group to shift their attention to Jabal Thardeh in the province’s Western part near the Damascus-Baghdad International Highway.

The ISIL terrorists launched their second wave of attacks near the strategic hilltop of Tal Kroum and the 137th Brigade’s headquarters, but they failed for the second time and retreated once again after sustaining over 50 casualties at the Western part of Jabal Thardeh; FNA reported.
