Syrian Troops Inflict Heavy Losses upon ISIS Southwest of Deir Ezzor

Syrian Army on Tuesday carried out military operations against ISIS terrorists in the vicinity of Deir Ezzor city, inflicting heavy losses upon them.

Units of Syrian army clashed with ISIS terrorist groups in the area surrounding Panorama to the southwest of Deir Ezzor and destroyed a booby trapped vehicle, killing many of the terrorists and injuring others, SANA reported.

The army unit targeted the terrorists’ gatherings in al-Morei’ia and its farms and Hweijet al- Morei’ia in the southeastern countryside of the province. Also in Sweida, Syrian Army eliminated terrorists and confiscated their ammunition and bombs at Kou’ Hadar area in the northern countryside of the southern province of Sweida were heading to the eastern desert,

On June 5th, the army unit also killed and injured 20 ISIS terrorists in Tal Asheiheb in the northeastern countryside of Sweida province.

Moreover, the army unit carried out military operations against Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists’ gatherings in Daraa al-Balad area, destroying mortar launchers and vehicles in addition to killing or injuring many of the terrorists in the neighborhoods of al-Menshieh and al-Seebeh and in the vicinity of al-Jumrok al-Qadeem.

The foreign-sponsored conflict in Syria, which flared in March 2011, has so far claimed the lives of nearly half a million people and left over one million injured.

Syrian government says terrorists in the country are backed by the US and its regional allies including the Israeli regime, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Turkey.
