shiitenews_essa_qasimSaudi-backed Bahraini forces have attacked a mosque in the Persian Gulf sheikdom ahead of another day of nationwide anti-government demonstrations. Bahraini forces reportedly vandalized the mosque in Diraz late on May 12.

The Manama regime forces have so far raided dozens of mosques, schools, sacred sites and even graves in persisting efforts to crush anti-government opposition.
Meanwhile, a Bahraini revolutionary movement has called on all people in the Persian Gulf island nation to participate in the “Day of Sacred Defense” protest rallies following Friday prayers.

The demonstrations will mark a new phase in the ongoing revolution to oust the ruling al-Khalifa family, activists of Bahrain's 14th of February revolutionary movement said in a letter.

Anti-government protests against the rule of the al-Khalifa dynasty in Bahrain began in mid-February.

In March, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Kuwait deployed their troops in crisis-hit Bahrain to reinforce the brutal armed crackdown on Bahraini protesters.

Scores of protesters have been killed and many others arrested and sent to unknown locations during Manama's violent crackdown on protesters. A number of the killings have occurred under torture.

Bahrainis to mark Defense Day protest

A Bahraini revolutionary movement has called on all people in the Persian Gulf island nation to participate in the “Day of Sacred Defense” protest rallies following Friday prayers.

In a newly released letter, activists of Bahrain's 14th of February revolutionary movement urged Bahrainis to fight back if they are attacked by regime forces.

The demonstrations, due to take place after Friday prayers, will mark a new phase in the ongoing revolution to oust the ruling al-Khalifa family, the letter read.

The activists say the Bahraini people will no longer tolerate any more nightly raids by Saudi-backed Bahraini forces, calling for the boycott of all government and Saudi businesses.

The 14th of February revolutionary movement is part of a well-known organization that has been scheduling anti-government protests across the country.

Since mid-February, thousands of anti-government protesters in Bahrain have poured into the streets, calling for the downfall of al-Khalifa dynasty, which has ruled the country for over forty years.

Last March, Saudi-led forces were dispatched to the tiny Persian Gulf sheikhdom at Manama's request to help crush the countrywide protests.

Since the deployment of Saudi troops in Bahrain, the monarchy has proved to be capable of committing great brutalities in suppressing anti-regime protesters.

Scores of protesters have been killed and many others arrested and sent to unknown locations during Manama's violent crackdown on protesters. A number of the killings have occurred under torture.

Regime forces have also raided dozens of mosques, schools, sacred sites and even graves in persisting efforts to crush any opposition.
