CID police arrests Wahabi terrorist’s try to assassinate Justice Maqbool Baqar

shiitenews cid karachiThe Crime Investigation Department (CID) has arrested the terrorists of the outlawed Lashkar-e-Jhangvi and Taliban in separate raids and recovered weapons and explosive material from his possession here on Thursday.

SSP CID Fayyaz Khan told The News the police party raided several hideouts in Quaidabad to arrest Farhan of the TTP. The police said they recovered three
Kalashnikovs, four hand grenades, a 7mm rifle, one TT pistol and over 50 bullets from him.

The suspect also admitted that he had tried to attack SP Khurrum Waris, SP Raja Umar Khatab and Justice Maqbool Baqar Rizvi.

The terrorist confessed that they want to assassinate the Senior judge of Sindh High Court Justice Maqbool Baqar because he claimed that Justice Maqbool Baqar has eradicated the sectarian target killing cases of handicap Shia Man Muntazir Imam.

The terrorist alleged that handicap Muntazir Imam was involved in the killing of Wahabi leaders and Justice Maqbool Baqar withdrawn his cases.

Its pertaining to mention here that the handicap Shia man Muntazir Imam was freed in all the fake cases lodged by the biased Wahabi SSP Chaudhry Aslam against him by ATC Court Sindh because of lack of evidences and his aboard visit during the target killing of Wahabi leaders.  

During the initial interrogation, Farhan reportedly told the police that he and his accomplices had planted a bomb to target a Rangers van, killing four personnel of the paramilitary force.

Meanwhile, the CID arrested a militant of the Lashkar-e-Jhangwi (LeJ). The suspect was identified as Rayaz Afghani alias Zahid Hussain, and was arrested for collecting money for the LeJ.

The government had previously announced a head money of Rs0.5 million for the suspect. The police claimed to have recovered a huge quantity of arms and weapons from him. Senior Superintendent Police (SSP) CID Muzffar Mashwani told The News that he called for a raid after receiving a tip that the suspect was hiding near Hub River Road in the Saeedabad police limits.

The police recovered two hand grenades, two TT pistols, one repeater, one ‘mouser’ and hundreds of live bullets from his possession.

The SP said Ahmed was involved in sending funds to his organisation and also provided help to arrested militants while he also gave money to lawyers for fighting cases of militants, including Akram Lahori, Mufti Eid Mohammad, Asif alias Choto etc.

During interrogation, he confessed that he had given money to Usman Choto for killing of Shia leader in Karachi but Choto was arrested before committing the crime. Officer said the accused name was also listed in CID Red Book list and added that he further confessed that he was involved in several surveillances of those people who were killed in target killings. Further investigation was underway. SP Mashwani said that the accused visited several parts of the country and used his different names there.
