kalam-dpkSome of the outfits who the government banned for terrorism and extremism have resurfaced by changing their names. They have benefited from a council that has been formed to defend Pakistan. In the name of defence of Pakistan, they are hoodwinking public opinion.

People have expressed their surprise and many are deeply shocked to know that mainstream Deobandi party

Moderate Pakistanis are shocked and surprised why Jamaat-e-Islami and Maulana Sami ul Haq-led JUI-S have ignored factual positions of the two terrorist outfits involved in the killing of thousands of innocent Pakistani's. Pakistan cannot tolerate this hypocrisy.

In the past, these outfits formed Defence of Afghanistan and Pakistan Council, banned outfits made fiery speeches even in Rawalpindi, twin city with the capital Islamabad.  Whole world bears witness what happened to Afghanistan and Pakistan? Their empty threats and fiery speeches brought nothing but humiliation to Pakistan.

Afghanistan was invaded and a full fledged war imposed on Afghanistan and Pakistan was made a country for logistic support to the invading army of the U.S.-led coalition of armies of at least 40 countries.

Pakistan witnessed worst sort of terrorism. Genocide of fellow Muslims and particularly Shia and Beralvi Muslims were carried out. Then, shrines of great saints were not spared and fell victims to these terrorists. Finally, Pakistan’s army and whole of security forces came under attack. Pakistan army’s headquarters was attacked.

Then, none came forward from the council that vanished forthwith. No doubt that defence of Pakistan is more important and obligatory but Pakistani state has a defence system and security forces are there to shoulder this responsibility. Unfortunately, some banned outfits bring a bad name to Pakistan through their activities.

This time, no Pakistani should remain silent. An alliance of all Pakistanis is needed to discourage the terrorist outfits. They have cost Pakistan and Pakistanis dearly in the past.

Federal interior minister makes statements but don’t keep his commitments. Reputation of the ruling coalition remains in danger should the banned outfits with new names are allowed to hold public programmes. Likewise, it brings a big question mark on the Jamaat-e-Islami, JUI-S, and liberal Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed.

such as JUI-Sami ul Haq and relatively more known political-Islamic Jamaat-e-Islami have welcomed them in the fold of Defence of Pakistan Council.

Terrorist outfit Sipah-e-Sahaba renamed itself with two more names after the government banned it Millat-e-Islami and Now AhleSunnat Wal Jamaat. Similarly, Harkat ul Ansar or Harkat ul Mujahideen has also been renamed "Anasar-ul-Ummah" after it was banned. Both of them have joined Defence of Pakistan Council.
