Karachi mourns over suicide attack in Ashura-e-Hussaini (AS) procession

The scenario of grief and mourn has blanketed the Sindh province including the metropolis city of Karachi – the provincial capital of Sindh following suicide attack on Ashura procession which claimed 43 lives and left over 80 wounded.

90 percent petrol pumps remained closed in city and even the busiest Shahrahs including Shahra-e-Faisal looked deserted.

There remained no traffic or people on road all across city but only the sirens of ambulances; police mobiles and rangers vehicles were audible.

It may be mentioned here that Shia organizations have appealed the karachiites and people of Sindh to observe three days mourning and also given the strike call on Tuesday in order to mourn the suicide bomb blast in Ashura procession in Karachi.

Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah has also announced province wide public holiday on Tuesday in order to express solidarity with the families who lost precious lives of their dear ones.

However, countrywide protest demonstration were staged across the Pakistan to denounce the suicide bomb blast in the Ashura-e-Hussaini (AS) procession.

Hundreds of protest demonstration were staged every parts of the country including Gilgit, Baltistan, Kurram Agency, Quetta, Lahore, Dera Ghazi Khan, Lahore, Multan, Faisalabad, Hyderabad, Dera Allah Yar, Larkana, Sukkuar, Nawabshah and others parts of the country.
