Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen (MWM) announced that they are no more part of negotiation process with the government because of police and rangers raid on the MWM office in Islamabad.

“It is not possible for us to continue to talk after arrest of Asad Abbas who is one of the members of talks committee of Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) and allied parties that is engaged in talks with the government,” Nasir Abbas Shirazi, secretary political affairs, MWM told the Shiite News.

He said that his party was dissociating from the government-PAT dialogue following the arrest of nine party activists. The government should release all MWM activists arrested on Friday, Shirazi said, adding that no one from his party would go to any future rounds of talks between PAT-allies and the government.

Following the decision of the MWM, the PAT-allies talks committee also announced they would too boycott the talks as long as MWM’s legitimate demands are met.
