Gilgit: Agha Rahat Hussaini extends deadline for another day on Rehman Malik’s request

shiitenews agarahat-1Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik has made telephonic contact with Agha Rahat Hussaini on Thursday and sought another day to meet the demands of Gilgit-Baltistan’s Maumineen.
On this, Agha Rahat Hussaini, extended given deadline for another day. Thursday was the last day of

the deadline they gave to the government. Anjuman-e-Imamia’s meeting was held in Gilgit to discuss the future course of action. Agha Rahat Hussaini presided over the meeting. On telephonic contact by Rehman Malik, the meeting unanimously gave another day to the government.
They had threatened to launch a protest movement including civil disobedience movement against non-arrest of the known culprits of Kohistan Tragedy in which 19 Maumineens were got alighted of buses and then martyred by the terrorists.
The Correspondent reported that there are chances that protest movement would begin if the government fails to meet demands.
A charter of demand was presented to the government through interior minister. Tension still prevails in Gilgit-Baltistan. But, people were optimistic that demands would be met.
