Allama Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi, Chief of Tehrik-e-Nifaz-e-Fiqh-e-Jafaria, has issued a 19-points code for azadari and made clear that all matami juloos (mourning procession) would be brought out freely according to Junejo-Moosavi Accord 1985.

The agreement he cited as Junejo-Moosavi accord was reached between him and then Prime Minister Mohammad Khan Junejo in 1985.

“We shall not tolerate any hurdle in observance of azadari, congregations and processions. We don’t need anybody to advise us to limit the azadari in the name of law and order. Security officials should be deployed to maintain law and order,” he said at a well-attended press conference at his Rawalpindi office.

He demanded that the government’s (Moharram) Control Room should remain in contact with the TNFJ’s Azadari Cell (or Control Room).

Tehrik-e-Nifaz-e-Fiqh-e-Jafaria (TNFJ)’s chief said that opponents of Pakistan now wanted to make Pakistan a sectarian state to benefit their anti-Islam interests but he warned Pakistani nation would not let them to do so.

“Now, the enemies are trying to equate Islamic Republic of Iran, a friendly and brotherly country, with arch-enemy India. Iran always helped and assisted Pakistan so we need a friendly foreign policy for Iran,” he urged.

Urging unity among Muslims he elaborated 19-points code for azadari saying that army and rangers should be deployed in the sensitive areas and lady police cops should be posted for ladies search. He said official vehicles should also be checked and azadar should not face difficulties to participate in the majalis and juloos-e-aza.

Allama Moosavi said that CCTV camera and walk-through gates should be installed at entry and exit points of the route of azadari processions and venues of majalis-e-aza (mourning congregations). The proceedings should be recorded so that video record should be maintained and patrolling of the security officials should be intensified.

He urged that hosts of the congregations and processions of azadari should not be harassed so that they could shoulder their responsibilities without any tension. A culture of tolerance should be observed instead of provocation and biased approach toward azadari.

He demanded that terrorists should be eliminated and outlawed terrorist groups should be dealt with iron hand. He urged people to remain vigilant and nab the suspected person and hand over to administration and also inform administration if they feel any suspicious activity.

“Ulema and Zakireen should keep national security in view and desist from provocative speeches. They should preach peace and sanity highlighting the sacrifices of martyrs of Karbala. Media should not air musical and indecent programs and also must not invite controversial persons or banned terrorist outfits’ leaders,” he urged.

He asked print media to publish special editions on Martyrs of Karbala, Imam Hussain (AS), and those who made sacrifices in Karbala and post-Karbala events. He asked electronic media to air special programs on azadari. He asked for due coverage of azadari.

“Political parties should suspend political activities during Moharram. Electricity supplying companies should not suspend electric power supply during Moharram. Exams at schools, colleges and universities should not be conducted during Moharram,” he demanded.

TNFJ leader urged the punctuality of timings for azadari congregations and processions and also urged that sentiments of other schools of thought should also be respected.
