Shia leaders began united efforts for release of innocent detainees in Sargodha

Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen and Shia Ulema Council’s leaders the innocent Shia Muslims detained by Faroqa Police of District Sargodha’s Sahiwal Tehsil. Their only sin was their self-defence against the notorious takfiri nasbi terrorists of banned outfit Sipah-e-Sahaba or ASWJ who had attacked Ashura mourning procession.

 Nasir Abbas Shirazi, secretary, political affairs, MWM visited the police stations to see the detainees. He assured them that no innocent person would be allowed to remain behind the bars and all efforts would be made for their immediate release.

Earlier, he held meetings with the local Shia notables and discussed the course of action for the release of the innocent Shia detainees. Shia Ulema Council Punjab chapter’s President Allama Mazhar Abbas Alavi, MWM’s local officials including Zafar Bukhari and Advocate Ansar Khan, and others were also present there.

Innocent Shia Muslims were detained at different police stations since they were arrested from their houses in midnight raids. Pro-takfiri Punjab government’s policy is aimed to blame the victims whenever takfiris attack Shiites anywhere in Punjab.
