muharram_procession-2-300x194 LAHORE: The main Muharram procession routes and majlis venues have been declared highly sensitive by law enforcement agencies. The entry and exit points of majalis will be monitored by police, whereas snipers would be positioned at rooftops. Police commandos
would monitor the main procession route from Karbala Gamay Shah. More than 12,000 policemen would provide security to the city where 4,000 majalis would be held and 640 processions would be taken out. Senior police officials told Daily Times that security arrangements for Muharram had been completed and declared majalis and other Muharram-related activities sensitive. They said terrorists had changed their targets from government buildings to civilian areas, which made the entire city a sensitive zone. staff repor
