At least nine Deobandi takfiri militants were killed and scores of others injured Wednesday in a drone strike near Pakistani border with Afghanistan in 0Nazyan area of Nangarhar province. Deobandi takfiri Taliban/TTP militants based in the Nazyan district had planned the devastating attack on the Army Public School in Peshawar, which left over 150 people dead, including more than 130 schoolchildren.

Official sources said that the drone fired two missiles on a compound in the Nazyan area of Nangarhar near the Pak-Afghan border, leaving nine militants dead and several others injured.

According to security officials, Deobandi takfiri Taliban/TTP militants based in the Nazyan district had planned the devastating attack on the Army Public School in Peshawar, which left over 150 people dead, including more than 130 schoolchildren.

Strikes against Wahhabi takfiris and Wahhabis-allied Deobandi takfiri militants have increased on both sides of the border since the attack. Wahhabi takfiris are al-Qaeda and Daish (ISIL) and Deobandi takfiris are Taliban/TTP and affiliates and allies.

Pakistani security forces have also been carrying out ground offensives in Khyber Agency, particularly the Tirah Valley of Bara which borders Nazyan.

Drone attacks are widely unpopular across Pakistan and according to survey conducted in June last year, 66 per cent of the country’s citizens oppose the strikes.
