Karachi based leaders of major political parties support Shia Long March

Karachi-based eminent officials of political parties have expressed their support to the Shia Muslims Labbaik Ya Hussain (AS) Long March that was kicked-off by the Committee of Heirs of Shikarpur’s Martyrs on Sunday.

To formalize their support, the officials of Awami Natonal Party, Pakistan Muslim League, Functional, PPP-(SB), Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) , Jamiat Ulema-e-Pakistan, Sunni Ittehad Council, and Pakistan Awami Tehrik addressed a joint press conference hosted by Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen in Karachi on Sunday.

Sukkur-based officials of these parties had already made public their support to the Labbaik Ya Hussain Long March of heirs of martyrs of Shikarpur Shia mosque bombing.

These parties’ officials said that Shia Muslims were being massacred during their Friday prayers and mourning congregations but the government continued its inaction that emboldened the terrorists to continue terrorist attacks against Pakistanis mainly the Shia Muslims.

They said that it was not acceptable for the polity to allow the government to work against the Constitution and Law. They said that rule of law could not be established without awarding capital punishment to the ferocious terrorists who bombed Shia worshippers in Shikarpur and Peshawar and education-seeking children at army public school.

The long march that began on Sunday afternoon from the Syed-ush-Shohada Mosque/Karbala Moalla Imam Bargah, scene of massacre in Lakhi Dar area of Shikarpur will reach Karachi where the Shia protestors and their allied parties members would stage sit-in outside Sindh Chief Minister’s CM House to press the government to desist its policy of inaction and appeasement for the takfiri terrorists..

Karachi-based officials of the MWM thanked the officials for their support. They said that Shia parties were already supporting the Long March and among them included Imamia Students Organisation, Asgharia Organisation (AO) and Students Organisation (ASO) and Payam.

The Committee of Heirs of Martyrs of Shikarpur Massacre had to resort to protest strike and long march due to inaction against the takfiri terrorists who masterminded and abetted suicide bombing during Shia Friday prayer in Syed-ush-Shohada mosque/Karbala Moalla Imam Bargah of Lakhi Dar area in Shikarpur.

Now, they also protest against the Masjid-e-Imamia Hayatabad Peshawar Tragedy in which takfiri suicide bombers bombed another Shia Friday prayer congregation in Peshawar of Khyber-Pukhtoonkhwa province.
