ISLAMABAD: After Pakistani parliament decided to maintain neutrality in Yemen crisis, the banned religious outfits have reemerged in the country to support Saudi Arab aggression on Yemen by opposing the assembly’s unanimous resolution.

Tahfuz-e-Harman-e-Sharifin Seminar, organized by the Jamiyat Ahle Hadith on Saturday here in Islamabad, denounced the national assembly’s unanimous resolution, approved on April 10. Saudi Arab Deputy Minister of Islamic Affairs Dr. Abdul Aziz Abdullah, Molana Abul Khair, Jamat-ut-Dawa’s Hafiz Saeed, Pir Amin Hasnat, Pir Mehfoz Mashhadi, Molana Fazul-ur-Rahman Khalil of Ansar Ul Ummah, Owais Norani, Liaquat Bloch, Farzand Hamid-ul-Haq and Sami-ul-Haq, the father of Taliban attended the seminar.

The seminar presented six-point declaration pronouncing the parliament’s resolution “to keep Pakistan neutral in Yemen crisis” as conspiracy and against the will of the nation. The resolution says that the national assembly’s decision is nothing but a conspiracy to make Pakistan alone in the Islamic World. It adds, “Yemen crisis has nothing to do with sectarian rift; this issue should not be given sectarian colour. Molana Fazul-ur-Rahman said that Yemen was facing insurgency not war, adding that this issue should not be seen as sectarian issue; this issue needed to be comprehended from its all aspects. The leader of former Lashkar-e-Taiba, which is now Jamat-ut-Dawa, Hafiz Saeed pointed out that the recent Pakistan’s decision over the Yemen crisis had hurt the hopes of Pakistani people; Saudi Arab has never been nonaligned whenever Pakistan was in need. Other speakers resolved that they would sacrifice their lives for protection Bait-ul-Harem and the holy shrine of Muhammad (pbuh).
