A special unity prayer between all sects was organized by Local New TV Channels ‘City 42’ and ‘Channel 24’ at Jama Masjid - university of Punjab, shia news agency reported Tuesday.

A number of people from all factions attended the prayer to include shia scholars namely; Allama Syed Mubarak Ali Moosavi, Allama Ahmed Iqbal Rizvi, Allama Muhammad Iqbal Kamrani, Allama Abuzar Mahdvi, Allama Nazim Raza Itrat, President Madaris-e-Jafria Allama Syed Hussain Najfi and Maulana Hasnain Arif.

Allama Mubarak Moosavi while addressing leaders of Jamaat-e-Islami, Central Jamaat-e-Ahle Hadith, Minhaj-ul-Quran, Jamaat-ul-Dawah said it is only solidarity and unity among the Muslim Ummah that can defeat anti-islam conspiracies.

In the recent past Kuwait portrayed an effort as such when Islamic State staged the country’s deadliest militant attack on a Shia Mosque leaving 27 dead per reports. The unity prayer held at the Grand Mosque of Kuwait showed similar values as here Tuesday in University of Punjab.

We, as a nation and on our news agency part, commend the City 42 for their approach and effort to bring all sects and faction under the same umbrella par the teaching of Islam. The message of solidarity and unity cannot be put forth in any other better way.

Allama Iqbal Ahmed said emphasized that it remains the oldest trick in the book where the enemy divides and rules. Unless we forget our differences and stand come under the Flag of Islam, our sustenance remains impossible.

Allama Hussain Najfi said Shia and Sunnis remain two hands of Islam, only an anti-islam agent can create a rift between the two.
