Strike-in-KarachiA province-wide wheel-jam and shutdown strike is being observed across Sindh on the mourning day that Shia Ulema Council and Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen have announced on Monday.

The life came to a standstill. Transporters and traders voluntarily expressed solidarity with Shiites to mourn the Quetta

Alamdar Road tragedy in which 87 Shiites were massacred on Thursday night.

The strike is being observed while the sits-in were also being staged. Even the flights schedule was badly and trains were stopped from traveling. National Highway and Super highway and main roads in big and small cities were closed.

Allama Nazir Abbas Taqvi has apologized the travelers in advance saying that their protest was not against common people but against the government whose callousness compelled Shia Muslims to call for strike and sit-in protest.
