Terrorists involved in Safoora incident were linked with Daesh and wanted the enforcement of Caliphate system: IG Sindh
IG Sindh Ghulam Haider Jamali gave a briefing over Sindh’s situation, including Karachi, to Senate’s Qaima Committee for interior and told that Chaudhry Aslam was killed by Al-Qaeda and culprits involved in Safoora incident wanted the enforcement of Caliphate in the country. He also told that culprits arrested for Safoora incident were wanted in 37 other crimes as well, 14 of them have been identified and the group has revealed some important information on the basis of which actions are being taken.
The meeting of Senate’s Qaima Committee for interior was held on Monday under the headship of Senator Rehman Malik. Ghulam Haider Jamali, while giving a briefing to the meeting, told that a gang of 25 members was involved in Safoora incident out of which 14 have been identified. He further told that they had also arrested criminals involved in 37 important attacks, including those of Safoora incident. Important information had been revealed by the group arrested from Karachi on the basis of which actions are being taken.
Ghulam Haider Jamali told in the meeting that the head of that group is a terrorists named Abdul Aziz of Kotri, Hyderabad and he belongs to Al-Qaeda but have been working for Daesh since a year. The terrorist had planned to include highly educated people in the group.
