National Leadership in paradox over Daesh’s presence in Pakistan

Pakistan has officially denied the presence of self-proclaimed Islamic State’s presence in the country.

Foreign Secretary Aizaz Chaudhry said in an interview on Sunday that no one in the country would be allowed to maintain links with Daesh. He further said that Pakistan possesses the capability to deal with all threats from any extremist organization, including Daesh. “Pakistan is winning the war against terrorism with the complete support of its nation”, he added.

Speaker of National Assembly Ayaz Sadiq said “Pakistan views terrorism and extremism with hatred and stands by the government and people of France on Paris incident”. While declaring terrorism a common threat to modern human civilization Ayaz Sadiq said that such attacks do not have any religious or moral justification.

Similarly, COAS General Raheel Sharif had earlier said in his statement that not even the shadow of Daesh would be allowed in Pakistan.

On the other hand, Pakistani analysts also gave contradictory statements about Daesh’s presence in Pakistan, on television channels after the Paris attacks. Famous analyst and former ambassador Zafar Hilali said “Pakistan is being considered as the next target of Daesh”.

These were some of the statement that were given by Pakistan’s leadership, after the Paris attacks, about Daesh’s presence in Pakistan and its targets but the fact is that Daesh’s presence in Pakistan cannot be denied.

Shiite News has often told its readers about the presence of Daesh’s supporters in Pakistan and if they are not dealt with iron hand the dangerous organization of Daesh will spread in Pakistan. Our purpose of publishing such news is also to divert the rulers’ attention towards the issue.

Shaeba Ahmed

The arrest of Shaeba Ahmed, who was an agent of Daesh and sub-continent’s Al-Qaeda, points towards the fact that such agents are paving the way for Daesh in Pakistan.

We do not claim that all these realities prove Daesh’s presence in Pakistan but at least they are pointing towards the presence of their supporters and facilitators within the country. All these facilitators need to be arrested in order to thwart organizations like Daesh from gaining grounds in Pakistan. But the task will become more difficult in view of the fact that political parties, themselves, supporting such terrorist organizations.
