Karachi: Al-Qaeda’s commander killed in police encounter in Sarjani

Shiite News: Al-Qaeda’s commander was killed in Sarjani in an encounter with CTD and modern arms were recovered from the terrorist. According to details, a special team of CTD’s Incharge Naveed Khuwaja conducted a raid upon information of terrorists’ presence but militants opened fire on police and tried running away but a militant named Riaz was killed in retaliatory action by police whereas his two companions succeeded in running away.

According to CTD spokesperson, the killed terrorist was Al-Qaeda’s commander and was involved in various terror acts. He got injured in 2008 when he was trying to plant a bomb in a ride at Aladin Park. There was also a prize money of 25lacs of his head. Two rocket launchers and three pistols were recovered from the killed militant whereas raids have been conducted for arrest of terrorists who ran away.
