Allama Raja Nasir condemns arrest of MWM Gilgit Baltistan’s Secretary General

Shiite News: MWM Pakistan’s central Secretary General Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafri has strongly condemned the arrest Secretary General of MWM Gilgit Baltistan Allama Nayyar Mustafavi by the police and said “arresting Ulemas for supporting the oppressed people of Yemen is a despotic act and against democratic values. On one hand, government of PML-N wants to take away peoples’ right to live and to freedom of expression while on the other hand, banned religious organizations have been openly and freely carrying out their activities which are against the national interest of the country and have been carrying out rallies in favor of those responsible for spreading terrorism in the Islamic world”.

He further said that revengeful actions against those supporting Yemen show that our rulers are Saudi slaves. “Protest is the basic right of every human being and we will not accept any rule that takes away our basic rights”, he added.

Allama Raja Nasir further said “Allama Sheikh Nayar Mustafavi has proved to be a responsible citizen and presented himself for the arrest upon court’s orders but the government also needs to make sure that laws should not be used as tools for taking revenge rather for providing justice”.

He also demanded the government of Pakistan to cancel the FIR registered against MWM’s senior leader Sheikh Nayyar Mustafavi and other members.
