Iranian President Hassan Rouhani to visit Pakistan

Shiite News: Iranian President Hassan Rouhani is scheduled to pay an official visit to Islamabad later this month.

 Iranian President’s visit that is scheduled for 25th March would further strengthen bilateral relations, said Iran’s ambassador in Islamabad Mehdi Honardoost. He further said that the visit would bring positive results.

Mehdi Honardoost also told that President Rouhani would meet Pakistan’s PM Nawaz Sharif and President Mamnoon Hussain during his two days stay in Pakistan and issues regarding energy and overall situation of Middle East and the region would be discussed.

Pakistan’s Federal Defense Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif said that both Pakistan’s government and people were eagerly waiting and looking forward to Iranian President’s visit.

Minister of Defense and Iranian ambassador discussed the matters of mutual interest and bilateral cooperation in energy, trade, business and defence and also agreed to take measures for completion of pending projects and for increasing economic activities.

Khawaja Asif also highlighted importance of China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and said it will be a vital artery in the region. He stressed that the regional countries should make their planning to get maximum benefit from it.
