Lahore attack: Suicide bomber was teacher at Deoband seminary

Shiite News: Law enforcement agencies have found the CNIC of the suicide bomber who carried out the attack in Lahore’s Gulshan e Iqbal Park according to which his name was Muhammad Yousuf son of Ghulam Fareed. He was born on 1st January 1988 and his identification mark was mole on his left cheek. The terrorist was a resident of Muzaffar Garh.

The CNIC was found from the spot where the attack took place and according to law enfprcement agencies it is allegedly of the terrorist who carried out the attack. However, senior officials, including DIG operations Dr. Haider Ashraf, told that nothing can be surely said at this stage as investigations are in process.

According to media reports, the terrorist was probably a resident of Fatah Sarani district of Muzaffar Garh, an area that comes under the jurisdiction of Karamdar Qureshi police station. He had received education from a seminary and was teaching at one of Lahore’s seminaries since past 8 years.

A police team also raided his house in Fatah Sarani and arrested two brothers of the alleged suicide bomber. According to some reports, police has arrested four brothers and an uncle of the alleged attacker. The alleged militant was not in contact with his family since two months. His father Muhammad Yousuf is a vegetable vendor.

Indian secret agent recently arrested from Baluchistan had claimed that he had links with separatist and religious parties and with seminaries in Pakistan therefore, security agencies are also investigating that Lahore attack could be a reaction of the arrest of RAW’s agent.
