8 martyred, 18 injured in terrorist attack on Shia contestant’s election office

kohat blastAt least 8 were martyred and 18 were injured in a bomb blast in the election office of a Shia contestant in Shia majority area of district Kohat of Khyber-Pukhtoonkhwa.
The bomb weighing 10 kilogram concealed in a ghee canister exploded with a huge bang in the election

office of Syed Noor Akbar, an independent electoral contestant from the constituency of National Assembly NA-39.
Noor Akbar’s uncle and a notable namely Badshah Gul were injured in the blast. The wounded were rushed to the hospital for treatment and bodies were taken for postmortem.
The gory incident took place in Kacha Pakha that is a Shia majority area of Kohat that has been otherwise a constant target of takfiri nasbi terrorists of outlawed Taliban and its offshoots.
Leaders of Shia parties and Sunnis-led moderate parties have condemned the attack. Sunnis-led moderate parties have also been targeted during election campaign across Pakistan excluding Punjab province.
