It has been 63 days since Allama Raja Nasir Abbas’s Hunger strike against terrorism, lawlessness and corruption continues, being the voice of more than 50 million Shiites across Pakistan; the government is yet to take notice of the protest despite that varied political and religious parties to include Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf, Pakistani Awami Tehreek, Pakistan Peoples Party, Sheikh Rasheed of AML, etc have pledge support to the cause.

Proscribed outfits collecting funds in the name of Jihad outside mosque during the month of Ramazan, banned organizations gatherings across the country and their platform of Pakistan Defence Council makes a mockery of government’s high claim and National Action Plan established to eliminate terrorism from Pakistan. Evidence prevails of “State Terrorism” meaning States patronage of banned outfits spreading mayhem in the country, for they roam free in the country.

These were the thoughts were voiced by Majlis Wahdat ul Muslimeen (MWM) Provincial Secretary General Allama Maqsood Ali Domki in a press conference at Provincial Office “Wahdat House”.

He suggested that anti-state powers are constantly involved in matters pertaining to Pakistan trying to crumble the state. He said that we strive for Quaid and Iqbal’s Pakistan, free from hate and prejudice. A Pakistan, where every individual has the right to lead his life according his/her religion.

He said that many a leaders have expressed their concern over state patronized terrorism in the country. Innocent people from a particular sect are being targeted because of their differences with the government. The government has no reforms, infrastructure or values to address our issues.

He urged the concerned department to take notice of the situation where people are subjugated to prejudice and lawlessness, for otherwise he forecasted anarchy in the country.

He announced that MWM women wing will organize a mass protest across Pakistan on July 17. On July 22, should the demands be not addressed; a nationwide protest blocking main highways will be organized.

On 7 August, the day of commemorating Shaheed Quaid Arif al-Hussaini’s martyrdom, a large gathering will be organized in Islamabad.

Other speakers present at the conference condemned the killing of 30 innocent people during the clashes in Kashmir at the hands of Indian forces. They said that it is not only a massacre at the hands of brutal forces but inhumane. They urged international human right organizations to take state patronized atrocities in Kashmir.

Dignitaries present at the conference included Maulana Ahsan Danish, Ali Hussain Naqvi, Nasir Hussaini, Asif Safavi and others.
