Pilgrim Bus Targeted Near Quetta, Two Killed, Five Injured

At least three security officers and five civilians were injured on Wednesday in a deadly blast near Spini Road, Quetta.

The blast took place near Tarkha Crossing when a pilgrim bus from Sukkur was entering Quetta. The bomb, planted road-side, injured two Frontier Corp personnel, one policeman, a woman and driver, who immediately were shifted to a local hospital for treatment.

Law enforcement agencies cordoned the area while Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) was called in.

According to reports received, the bomb carried around three kilogram of explosives.

It is yet to be ascertained that the blast was to target the pilgrim’s bus or the military convoy alongside.

Other sources informed media that two policemen were killed in the incident while five others were injured to include a woman on spini road, Quetta. The injured were moved to a local hospital immediately.
