Four Deobandi terrorists,5 suspects arrested in Multan

Four terrorists and five suspects were taken into to custody during separate operations conducted by law enforcement agencies in Multan yesterday. They are said to gangsters of proscribed ASWJ/Lashkar-e-Jhangvi and allied Taliban.


Police and intelligence agencies conducted a joint operation in New Multan area and apprehended five suspects. Arms were also recovered from the arrested suspects.
Earlier, Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) conducted a raid on a house near Bahauddin Zakariya University on intelligence reports and arrested four terrorists. The CTD sources said that explosive material, four hand grenades and other arms were recovered from the arrested terrorists.
Sources further said that the arrested terrorists were planning to carry out terrorist activities in the city. Maps of sensitive installations were also recovered from their possession.
