Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s senior leader Dr Arif Alvi has accused the Western-allied government of protecting the banned terrorist outfits by not officially filing case against them.
“Lack of a clear policy by the government appears to be in the interest of the West,” Dr Alvi said at Dawn News TV channel’s talk show ‘News Eye’ hosted by anchor Mehr Bukhari (Abbasi).

PTI leader said that government launched a brutal crackdown on the peaceful political workers of the PTI in Islamabad and same day, the rulers allowed a banned terrorist outfit to hold its public meeting.
“There are so many organizations in Punjab who are involved in terrorism but it is not the army but it is the government that fails to take action against them,” he said.
Dr Alvi said that chief minister Punjab and interior minister Chaudhry Nisar had been meeting former army chief at nights to discuss said issue but army didn’t do what they desired from them.
National Counterterrorism Authority (NACTA) has listed 63 outfits in the category of those banned in Pakistan but many of them are working freely despite the ban that has been made misnomer.
