Proscribed ASWJ and JUIF of have begun exploring the possibility that Masroor Jhangvi may join Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazal of Deobandi leader Fazlur Rehman or not.

The proposal was discussed at a meeting with Fazal ur Rehman of the JUIF by Ahmed Ludhianvi and Masroor Jhangvi of the proscribed ASWJ where Hanif Jalandhary of Deobandi seminaries was also present.
Fazal said he had no objection and proscribed ASWJ ringleaders said that they would hold consultation on it.
It is relevant to add here that Masroor Jhangvi was made an MPA under Saudi pressure since he practiced Wahhabi takfiri ideology under the guise of Deobandi school of thought. Fazal who portrayed himself non-takfiri Deobandi also appeared to change his course.
Haq Nawaz Jhangvi originally belonged to JUI of Mufti Mehmood, Fazal’ father but he was expelled due to his takfiri ideology during the tenure of Fazal ur Rehman. On which he founded Sipah-e-Sahaba that was banned and now working as ASWJ itself a proscribed outfit.
