Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah is chairing the apex committee meeting in Karachi to discuss law and order situation in the metropolis. The provincial apex committee was formed under National Action Plan.
Corps Commander Karachi Lieutenant General Mirza Shahid Baig and Director General Pakistan Rangers (Sindh) Major General Mohammad Saeed are participating in the meeting for the first time since their appointments.
The issue of Karachi operation has also been taken under consideration.

Sindh Home Secretary has said that at least 16 terrorists have been hanged till death under military courts whereas 19 cases are still pending. He said so briefing the apex committee meeting today.
