The 21st anniversary of martyrdom of great Shia scholar and poet Mohsin Naqvi was observed in al over Pakistan with great reverence due to his adoration of infallible leaders of Islam and his anti-terrorism poems.

Mohsin Naqvi was pen name of Syed Ghulam Abbas Shah son of Syed Chiragh. Mohsin belonged to Dera Ghazi Khan. He embraced martyrdom when barrages of bullets were sprayed on him at Moonlight Market in Lahore on January 15, 1996.
He had composed a poem against takfiri terrorist outfits of Deobandi fanatics namely Anjuman Sipah-e-Sahaba (ASS) for its terrorism and provocative takfiri hate-speeches in Pakistan.
